SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY FINANCIAL PLANNING ASSOCIATION
STUDENT CHAPTER

We are a student organization devoted to “bridging the gap” between San Diego State University and the local San Diego Financial Planning Association. The student chapter was built to connect students interested in the financial services profession with potential employers. Joining the SDSU FPA chapter helps align student’s career goals with FPA member companies. It was created to give interested students the chance of learning more about the financial services industry from top professional mentors in the greater San Diego area.

OUR MISSION

The San Diego State University Financial Planning Association strives to provide a bridge between the Financial Services Industry and students at San Diego State. Through an internship program, students strongly interested in the financial services industry will receive internships from local FPA firms. The SDSU FPA chapter provides a way to funnel students to professional mentors whom they can gain real work experience from.

Vision Statement

San Diego State University Financial Planning Association strives to:

• Foster an environment conducive to networking between San Diego State University and Financial Services Professionals.
• Have consistent involvement with the San Diego Financial Planning Association Chapter with strong attendance at meetings and events.
• Enhance San Diego State Student’s financial education through personal interaction with Financial Service Professionals.
• Develop and expand access to resources offered by the Financial Services Industry.
• Preserve the Financial Services Program at San Diego State University.
